DEVICE SPECIFIC FAILURE: Security fuse programmed or bad device.
The device is not accessible either because the device is faulty, or because the security fuse is programmed.
This error message may appear if you are trying to program Motorola 68705xx devices.
DEVICE SPECIFIC FAILURE: Software data protect failure.
The “Software data protect” option has been enabled when programming, and the device(s) has not been
successfully placed in the protected state. Alternatively, the device data may be incorrect.
DEVICE SPECIFIC FAILURE: Test fuse programming error.
For certain devices, there are “transparent” test fuses that are automatically programmed during a
program operation. These fuses cannot be used, seen, or read by the user. If these fuses fail to program
correctly, this error occurs and the device may be faulty. Use another device.
DEVICE SPECIFIC FAILURE: Un-supported Operation.
The selected operation is not supported for this device.
DEVICE SPECIFIC FAILURE: Verify error due to non-blank device.
This error message may appear if you are trying to program Signetics device, family 087. Due to the
characteristics of these devices, it is impossible to perform blank and illegal-bit checks. Consequently, it is
assumed that the device has been properly erased prior to programming. Try erasing the part and then try
programming it again. If the message reappears, the device may be faulty.
DEVICE SPECIFIC WARNING: Generic non-fatal device-specific error.
This message may appear when a unique error code or message has not been assigned.
DEVICE SPECIFIC WARNING: Part has been programmed over 128 times.
This error message may appear if you are trying to program Lattice family 036 or VTI family 02F devices.
This message indicates that the part has been reprogrammed more than 128 times, which is more than the
manufacturer recommends. This is only a warning message; the program operation was successful.
Disk access error.
Disk access error.
Disk boot err
UniSite-xpi has experienced an error that it cannot recover from. Turn UniSite-xpi off and reboot the
system. If the problem persists, use another copy of the Boot Files disk.
Disk data error.
The read or write operation that was attempted could not be completed because there is a problem with
the disk. Try the operation again with a different disk.
Disk duplication overwrites user RAM. Hit Return to continue, ^Z to abort.
If you copy a disk, UniSite-xpi uses User RAM as a buffer. Anything already in user RAM will be
overwritten. If you don’t want to change User RAM, press C
TRL
+ Z to halt the disk duplication. Press
E
NTER
to proceed with the operation.
Disk Error - Defective or Wrong Size Disk. Press F3.

the disk; try the operation again with a different disk.
