1. Introduction

Product Description

The UniSite-xpi™ Universal Programmer is a tool for programming,
verifying, and testing all programmable device technologies and
packaging. The many facets of UniSite-xpi allow it to address a variety of
needs in both engineering and manufacturing environments.

The UniSite-xpi features all the benefits of the legacy UniSite universal
device programmer with the additional ability to quickly and easily
handle devices that require large data files, as well as other enhancements
that make the programmer easier to use in production or engineering
environments.

Standard
Configuration

Standard configuration of the UniSite-xpi System includes 9 MB of RAM,
a Mass Storage Module (MSM) for non-volatile internal bulk data storage,
pin driver boards for 68+ pin devices, and a Site48HS Module for support
of DIP devices up to 48 pins.

Options

An available option for the UniSite-xpi is the PinSite Module. To
accompany the PinSite Module, you can purchase either Standard Bases
(for support of devices up to 84 pins in packages such as SOIC, PLCC,
LCC, and PGA) or the PPI Base (for support of devices greater than 84
pins in packages such as DIP, PLCC, LCC, QFP, PGA, and SOIC).
