Initializing the unit to factory default settings
If an error occurs in the unit’s internal memory, or if you forget the password and cannot operate the
unit, you can use the following procedure to initialize the internal memory.
NOTICE
When you initialize the internal memory, all content that had been saved in memory will be
lost.
Use caution when performing the following steps.
1.
Press the SETUP button on the menu bar to access the SETUP screen.
2.
Press the MAINTENANCE button to access the MAINTENANCE popup window.
This window includes several pages, which you can switch between using the tabs located at
the top of the window.
3.
Press the INITIALIZATION tab.
The INITIALIZATION page appears, enabling you to initialize the internal memory.

SYSTEM LOG button
Press this button to initialize the system log.

LIBRARY button
Press this button to initialize the libraries.

SCENE button
Press this button to initialize the scene memory.
4
OTHER button
Press this button to initialize data other than the system log, libraries and scene memory.
NOTE
With firmware V1.2, the SCENE and OTHER buttons are linked and selected together.

You can select multiple items to be initialized as required by the desired
initialization method.
A dialog box will ask you to confirm the Initialization operation.
5.
Press the INITIALIZE THIS CONSOLE button.
