Using the Recall Safe function
“Recall Safe” is a function that excludes only specific parameters/channels (DCAs) from Recall
operations. Unlike the Focus function (
), which lets you make settings for individual
scenes, the Recall Safe settings are globally applied to all scenes.
1.
Press the SCENE field on the menu bar to access the SCENE LIST screen.

Press the RECALL SAFE tab to access the RECALL SAFE screen.
In this screen you can make settings for the Recall Safe function. The screen contains the
following items.

Category select list (channel)
Enables you to select the channel category.

Channel display
Indicates the channel name. You can press the + or − button located next to the channel name
to expand or collapse the channel indication for each category.

Category select list
Enables you to select the category of parameters to be displayed on screen.
You can press the + or − button located below to expand or collapse the channel parameter
indication for each category.

ALL channel Recall Safe ON button
Specifies whether the Recall Safe function is applied to all channels.

Channel Recall Safe ON buttons
Turn Recall Safe on or off for each channel.

ALL ON button
Turns Recall Safe on for all parameters on all channels.

ALL parameter ON buttons
Turn Recall Safe on for all parameters that belong to the corresponding channels.

ALL channel ON buttons
Turn Recall Safe on or off for all channels related to the selected parameter.

Parameter ON buttons
Turn Recall Safe on or off for parameters on each channel.

FADER BANK SELECT buttons
Specify for each bay individually whether the Recall Safe function is applied to the fader layer
position.

RECALL SAFE [PLUG-IN/GEQ] popup button
Press this button to access the popup window, in which you can set up recall safe for each plug-
in or GEQ.
NOTE
Even if Recall Safe is set to on, only individual parameters are the target. The mount status and
insert patches are not subject to Recall Safe.

To select a channel that you want to set up, press the + button of the channel
display

to expand the channel display, and then scroll through the category
select list (channel)

If you want to apply the Recall Safe function only to specific parameters, use the
parameter buttons

to select those parameters (multiple selections are
allowed). If you want to apply the Recall Safe function to all parameters, turn on
the ALL ON button

Turn on the channel Recall Safe ON button

for the channels to which you
want to apply the Recall Safe function.
If you want to apply the Recall Safe function to all channels, turn on the ALL channel Recall
Safe ON button

NOTE
• If you want to apply the Recall Safe function to the fader layer position, use the FADER BANK
SELECT button

to select it.
• You can use the Recall Safe function in conjunction with the Focus function. Channels or
parameters that are excluded from recall operations by either Focus or Recall Safe will not be
recalled.
