Information If you enable this command, use the
clear ip bgp *
command to recompute
the best path.
neighbor activate
This command allows the specified neighbor/peer group to be enabled for the current AFI/SAFI (Address
Family Identifier/Subsequent Address Family Identifier).

neighbor [ ip-address | peer-group-name ] activate
To disable, use the
no neighbor [ ip-address | peer-group-name ]
activate
command.
Parameters
ip-address (OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted
decimal format.
peer-group-
name (OPTIONAL) Enter the name of the peer group.
activate Enter the keyword
