ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual

Configuring the ISQ 7000 Mass Spectrometer

When you receive your ISQ 7000 mass spectrometer, a Field Service Engineer will configure 
the system for you. However, if you need to reconfigure your ISQ system, follow these steps:

1. Place the ISQ 7000 instrument, GC, computer, monitor, and keyboard on a work table 

and the foreline pump on the floor underneath. 

2. Connect all the cables to the computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printer (if 

applicable).

3. Connect the handshaking cable to the GC and to the GC Start connector on the ISQ 

7000 instrument.

4. Connect the computer and monitor electrical cables to the wall outlet.

Note  

If you are using CI, connect the reagent gas tubing to one of the Reagent Gas 

connectors on the ISQ 7000 instrument. See 

CI Reagent Gas Flow Module

 for details.
