Replacing Components of the Analyzer

Reattaching the Analyzer Tray Components



To reattach the analyzer tray components

8. Reattach the ion source to the analyzer tray and reattach the two screws.

1. Reattach the screw holding the lens heater block grounding strap to the analyzer tray.

2. Make sure the ion guide is aligned parallel to the flat on the endcap.

3. Tighten the T10 screws inside the endcap.

4. Slide the ion guide and endcap back into the analyzer tray.

5. Insert the quadrupole assembly with exit endcap onto the analyzer tray.

IMPORTANT

When you reassemble the ion source block and lens heater block, ensure

that the blocks are centered properly in the analyzer tray. Check that the ion source
cartridge provided with the instrument can easily slide in and out of the blocks.

Note

Make sure the entrance lens sits flush and centered in the entrance lens endcap.
