The

a multiple of 2. The graphical representation of this general case is analogous to the one

If the period is not a multiple of 2, the graphical representation of the Signed compare
shows a discontinuity in the “Before” and “After” ranges. Indeed, the widths of the
“Before” and “After” windows are not constant, as they depend on the value T. As a
consequence, the observation window is not centered on T. The result is that the position
of the observation window would have to be re-evaluated for each value T (i.e.
determining the widths of the “After” and the “Before” window). For this calculation, the
