Additionally, OTUs can be used to regenerate signals between Optical Line
System end terminals. Figure 2-20 shows the fiber connections for using OTUs to
regenerate a 2-fiber SONET/SDH system. Figure 2-21 shows the fiber
connections for using OTUs to regenerate a 4-fiber SONET/SDH system using
two lines.
