Provisioning
Each former End Terminal which now has additional TLM circuit packs in the B
slot(s) must be provisioned as a 1A-RCV-THRU or a 1A-TX-THRU. Use the
CenterLink CIT to enter the command Security.Enter.System command to
change the provisioning of the direction (1A-TX/1A-TX-THRU/1A-RCV/1A-RCV-
THRU).
If the interconnected subnetworks are still in a linear (not ring) configuration, one
node will still be a 1A-TX and one will be the 1A-RCV. Only one terminal of all the
interconnected OLS subnetworks may be provisioned as a DS-NE, and one
different node must be provisioned as the AGNE. The combined total of network
elements in the interconnected subnetworks cannot exceed 32, due to limitations
on the DCC.
Step Action
2 Measure the power level at the End Terminal 2 end of the same jumper.
3 Select an LBO to set the input power between –18 and –31 dBm.
4 Replace the zero dB LBO (white LBO supplied on the faceplate of the
LDA1 circuit pack) with the newly selected LBO in the LDA1 IN port of the
Telemetry pack in slot 1B.
5 Clean and attach the fiber jumper to the LBO.
6 Repeat for the remaining three fiber jumpers.
