Power Cable Installation

Rack and Stack Configurations
(Continued)

Power Cable
Connection

Follow the procedures below for installing and connecting the power cables to the
bays in a Rack and Stack configuration.

(Continued on next page)

1

Turn the power breakers off, or do not install fuses, at the battery
distribution fuse board (BDFB)

Verify the circuit packs are not installed in the shelves.

Identify the battery feed connections at the BDFB or other protection
equipment. They should be labeled BAT A, BAT A RTN, BAT B, and BAT
B RTN.

Discard any power cables supplied with the shelves, including the
harness mounted in the integrated bay.

Install the 12 AWG connectorized power feeders supplied as comcode
848633871 from A and B loads of the shelves to the fuse panel. For a
Two-Bay or Three-Bay System, the fuse panel in Bay 2 is used for all
shelves. For a Five-Bay System, use the fuse panel in Bay 2 for the
shelves in Bays 1 and 2 and for the upper OT Complimentary Shelf 2 in
Bay 3; use the fuse panel in Bay 4 for the shelves in Bays 4 and 5 and for
the lower OT Complimentary Shelf 2 in Bay 3. See Table 4-6 through
Table 4-7

Install the 12 AWG connectorized power feeders supplied as comcode
848633871 from A and B loads of the shelves to the fuse panel. For a
Two-Bay or Three-Bay System, the fuse panel in Bay 2 is used for all
shelves. For a Five-Bay System, use the fuse panel in Bay 2 for the
shelves in Bays 1 and 2 and for the upper OT Complimentary Shelf 2 in
Bay 3; use the fuse panel in Bay 4 for the shelves in Bays 4 and 5 and for
the lower OT Complimentary Shelf 2 in Bay 3. See Table 4-6 through
Table 4-7
