40G

Action

1 

At transmitter or OTU/OTPM, verify proper LBO is installed on the output 
jack as listed on the faceplate label. 

2 

At transmitter or OTU/OTPM, clean then connect assigned fiber jumper 
to OUT jack. This connector should have a pre-selected LBO from the 
factory, with a label designating its value. Verify the LBO in the OUT port 
is the value indicated on the label.

3 

At the WaveStar OLS 40G, clean then connect fiber jumper from the 
transmitter or OTU/OTPM to an optical power meter.

Requirement: Refer to Table 11-1 for OC-48/STM-16 or Table 11-2 for 
other signals.
