Fiber Ducts

If the rack and stack configuration will have fiber ducts installed, additional space
will be allowed between bays to accomodate the ductwork. See Equipment Bay
Frame Installation: page 3-7 or Drawing NT-00405-30.

Currently, the method of routing the intershelf fibers is via 4” x 2” fiber duct, which
is installed between bays and the end cap at the ends of the line-up using Z
brackets. Ninety degree (90º) elbows will be mounted at the top of the bays at the
ends of the line-up. A “T” is mounted between successive bays in the line-up. If
more bays are added to a line-up, replace the 90º elbow with a “T”. Refer to
Drawing NT-00405-30 for further details.

AC Outlets

If AC outlets will be required on the bay frames, the installer will need ED8C509-
50 G11, G12, and G13. The G11 material is for bridging frame gaps in the line-up
using liquid-tight conduit. The method for running this conduit is described in
ED8C509-50. Group 12 is an appliance outlet raceway assembly, and G13 is the
extender bracket used to mount the G12 raceway to the bay frame. Further detail
can be found in ED8C509-50.
