Line Buildout (LBO)
1550-nm Single-Mode to Multimode
Attenuators — Color: Gray
Description
This family of LBOs was designed to attenuate the input signal levels to the OTPM
for WaveStar OLS 40G applications. The OTPMs utilize a single-mode fiber at the
transmitter output but receive using a multimode fiber. To attenuate the transmitter
output, a Single-Mode to Single-Mode LBO (Green or Yellow) must be used. To
attenuate the OTPM receiver input a Single-Mode to Multimode LBO (Gray)
must be used. Using a Green LBO will negate most of the rated attenuation for
that LBO.
Table I-4 lists the specifications for this type of LBO.
