Rack and Stack Configurations

Description

Rack and Stack configurations can come as 2-Bay, 3-Bay or 5-Bay systems. The
installation of the frames and shelves, plus additional accessories is covered in
this subsection.

Bay Installation

The bay configurations for a 2-Bay system are an integrated bay and a bay of
miscellaneously mounted OT shelves. The integrated bay occupies position one
(Bay 1) which is the left-most position, and the second bay (Bay 2) will house the
two OT shelves. See Figure 3-16.

The bay configurations for a 3-Bay system consists of a integrated bay in position
1 (Bay 1), an OT bay in position 2 (Bay 2) and a miscellaneously mounted OT
shelf in the top of Bay 3. Bay 2 contains three OT shelves. In the 5-Bay
configuration Bays 1 and 2 are identical to the 3-Bay system. Additionally, the 5-
Bay system has an integrated bay as Bay 5 and another OT bay for Bay 4. Bay 3
contains two miscellaneouly mounted OT shelves. See Figure 3-17 on page 3-48.
