EQPT-DIAG
Default Severity: Critical (CR), Service-Affecting (SA)
Logical Object: EQPT
An Equipment-Diagnostic Failure alarm indicates that a software or hardware failure has occurred on the
reporting card. This alarm can be raised against a traffic card or a cross-connect card.
Clear the EQPT-DIAG Alarm
SUMMARY STEPS

If traffic is active on the alarmed card, you could need to switch traffic away from it. Refer to the
Switching, Lock Initiation, and Clearing, on page 443
section for procedures.

Complete the
Remove and Reinsert (Reseat) Any Card , on page 452
procedure for the alarmed card
3.
If the alarm does not clear, complete the
Physically Replace a Card, on page 453
procedure if it is raised
against a traffic card, or complete the
Generic Signal and Circuit Procedures, on page 454
procedure if the
alarm is raised against the cross-connect card.
