13.3 Safety Instructions for Controls
General Information
Follow these personnel safety instructions before using the control:
•
Always follow the safety instructions that appear in the operating
instructions. Inappropriate use of this equipment, failure to follow the
safety instructions in this document may result in product damage,
personal injury, or even death.
•
INDRAMAT GmbH is not liable for damage resulting from failure to
observe the warnings given in this documentation.
•
Before start-up, the documentation in the local language is to be
requested, if the documentation in the language provided is not
completely understood.
•
Proper transport, correct storage, assembly and installation, as well as
due care in operation and maintenance, are prerequisites for optimal
and safe operation of this equipment.
•
Only qualified personnel may work on this equipment or within its
proximity. Personnel are qualified if they have sufficient knowledge of
the assembly, installation and operation of the product, as well as an
understanding of all warnings and precautionary measures noted in
these instructions. Furthermore, they should be trained, instructed or
qualified to switch electrical circuits and equipment on and off, to
ground them and to label them. They must have adequate safety
equipment and be trained in first aid.
•
Use only replacement parts approved by the manufacturer.
•
Follow all safety regulations and requirements for the specific
application.
•
The equipment is designed for installation in commercial machinery.
•
Start-up is permitted only after it has been determined that the
machine in which the product is installed complies with the
requirements of the EC Directive 89/ 392/ EEC (machine guideline).
•
Operation is only permitted if the national EMC regulations are met for
the application in question. In the EC, the EMC Directive 89/ 336/ EEC
is valid.
•
Technical data, connections and installation conditions are specified in
the product documentation and must be followed at all times.
