The data flow is controlled with a software handshake.
When the CLM sends data via the ’TxD’ channel and receives an ’X-OFF’
signal (hexadecimal 13) via the ’RxD’ channel, the CLM interrupts the
transmission until another ’X-ON’ signal (hexadecimal 11) is received via
the ’RxD’ channel.
If the CLM receives data via the ’RxD’ channel and an interruption of the
data transmission is necessary, the CLM sends an ’X-OFF’ signal via the
’TxD’ channel.
If the transmission can be continued, the CLM sends an ’X-ON’ signal via
the ’TxD’ channel.
