System ID
The System ID (SID) is a globally unique 16-bit number that identifies a CDMA network
in a certain area and that is broadcast by the AN. It is defined in standard TIA/
EIA-136-140. If an AT has coverage from multiple systems, it usually selects the
appropriate one from a list of "preferred" systems (identified by their SID).
Remote command:
Network Release
Selection of Network Release (also known as Revision) 0, A or B. Each network
release supports every 1xEV-DO band class.
Network release 0
: the first mobile radio technology that is based completely on data
traffic (packet-switched data, full IP) developed by 3GPP2. Channel widths (1.25 MHz),
spectral characteristics and basic concepts were taken from CDMA2000. The forward
link uses TDM. Data rates of up to 2.4 Mbps in the forward link and of 153 kbps in the
reverse link are possible. Release 0 was optimized for asymmetrical data transfers that
are tolerant of delays, such as web browsing or data downloads.
