Time Source
This parameter selects the source for the time settings.
●
CMW Time
This selects the current CMW time (thus Windows time) as the time source. DUT
considers the CMW time as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
●
Date / Time
With this time source selected, the value of the parameters "Date Time", "Local
Time Offset" and "Leap Seconds" will be used. This provides a repeatable and
well-defined time reference.
●
Sync Code
With this time source selected, the value of parameter "Sync Code" will be used.
"Sync Code" is only needed for synchronization in
. In order to access this setting, software option R&S CMW-KS888 needs to
be present.
Remote command:
Date / Time
This setting will be applied if "Time Source" has been set to "Date / Time". The settings
are interpreted as UTC.
Remote command:
Local Time Offset
This is an offset from UTC according to a time zone of the region on Earth, where the
CMW operates. In addition, hexadecimal value is displayed. This parameter is defined
in 3GPP2 C.S0024.
Option R&S CMW-KS890 is required.
Remote command:
Leap Seconds
Leap seconds is an adjustment to keep UTC close to the mean solar time. CDMA Sys-
tem Time keeps a track of leap second corrections to UTC but does not use these cor-
rections for physical adjustments to the System Time clock. This parameter is defined
in 3GPP2 C.S0024.
Remote command:
Sync Code
This setting will be applied if "Time Source" has been set to "Sync Code". The "Sync
Code" is an internally calculated value that allows at the same time settings of two
synchronized SUUs. Two SUUs in one R&S
CMW are automatically synchronized if
the software option for hybrid mode is present. In order to synchronize two SUUs in
two instruments, the multibox scenario needs to be used.
