The measurement results the number of frames and percentage values. The following
frame counters in both reverse and forward direction are provided:

blanked frames

●

frames at the 1/8 rate set

●

frames at the 1/4 rate set

●

frames at the 1/2 rate set

●

frames at the full rate set

Additionally forward and reverse throughput is displayed.

Speech measurement requires option R&S CMW-KS810. In addition if the connection
to the audio and codec boards is used, the options for the audio measurements appli-
cation is also required, see

chapter 4.2.4, "Audio Measurements"

Test Procedure

1. Select a speech option, see

"1st Service Option"

2. If an audio board is used follow the setup according to the procedure for audio

measurements, see

chapter 4.2.4, "Audio Measurements"

3. Start the circuit switched session as described in

chapter 4.2.2, "Initiating Signaling

4. Wait until the R&S

CMW has detected the speech activity and read the results from

the main dialog.
