Throughput vs. Test Time
The "Forward Link Performance" is the data rate (in kbit/s) of the FTAP/FETAP/
FMCTAP MAC layer packets transmitted on the forward traffic channel that the AT
could receive successfully:
ᅟ
FL_TP / Time [kbit/s] = MACPktRecd * PktSize / (TestTime * 16*5/3)
"MACPktRecd" denotes the number of successfully received MAC layer packets
("MAC Packets Received"), "PktSize" the "Physical Packet Size" in bits, "Test Time"
FTAP test time in frames. The statistics for MACPktRecd and TestTime is maintained
by the R&S
CMW.
The factor 16*5/3 corresponds to the CDMA frame duration in ms. If a physical layer
subtype 2 or 3 is active, the R&S
CMW can collect throughput results for different
physical packet sizes; the total throughput is then calculated as the sum of the through-
put results for all packet sizes.
Throughput vs. Transmitted Slots
The "Throughput vs. Transmitted Slots" is the data rate (in kbit/s) of the FTAP/FETAP
MAC layer packets transmitted on the forward traffic channel that the AT could receive
successfully:
ᅟ
F_TP / Slots = MACPktRecd * PktSize / (PktSlots * 5/3)
"MACPktRecd" denotes the number of successfully received MAC layer packets,
"PktSize" the "Physical Packet Size" in bits, "PktSlots" the number of slots during which
the packets were received ("Physical Packet Slots"). The statistics for MACPktRecd
and PktSlots is maintained by the R&S
CMW.
The factor 5/3 corresponds to the CDMA slot duration in ms. If a physical layer subtype
2 or 3 is active, the R&S
CMW can collect throughput results for different physical
packet sizes; the total throughput is then calculated as the sum of the throughput
results for all packet sizes.
Test Time
The number of 26.66 ms CDMA frames detected since the start of the measurement
(relative to the max. number of frames per single shot, configured via "Measurement
Control > Forward Link Performance > Max Frames") indicates the progress of the
"Forward Link Performance" measurement.
For the test procedure refer to
2.2.14.6
Reverse Link Throughput Measurement
The R&S
CMW can perform several reverse link "RX Throughput" measurements in
parallel.
