Failed session negotiation
If session negotiation fails, check the following R&S
CMW settings:
●
The AT must support the selected 1xEV-DO band class.
●
The "1xEV-DO Power" must be sufficient so that the AT under test can receive the
forward link signal.
●
The external attenuation settings should be in accordance with characteristics of
the RF connection.
●
The security settings in the "Network" section of the configuration dialog must be
compatible to the AT capabilities.

Analyzing the Reverse Signal from the AT
While an established connection is available, the reverse signal of the AT can be moni-
tored using an 1xEV-DO measurement provided by option R&S CMW-KM880.
To ensure compatible measurement settings, the measurement must be coupled to the
"1xEV-DO Signaling" application. This is done by selecting the combined signal path
scenario in the measurement. As a result the measurement application uses the most
important settings of the signaling application, e.g. the signal routing and analyzer set-
tings.
The following example applies to a multi evaluation measurement.
Proceed as follows:
1. Use the "1xEV-DO TX Meas" softkey to switch to the multi evaluation measure-
ment.
The measurement application is opened and the combined signal path scenario is
selected automatically.
If required, select the "Multi Evaluation" tab.
2. Press the "Trigger" softkey followed by the "Trigger Source" hotkey and select a
trigger signal provided by the signaling application. "1xEV-DO Sig<i>: Super Frame
(80.00 ms)" is recommended Trigger for multi evaluation measurement..
