Refer to the job floor plan for cabinet-lineup location and, using a marking 
pencil or felt pen, mark the location of the mounting holes on the floor 
using the template

Drill four holes in the floor at the locations marked for the anchors

!

CAUTION:

Always wear safety glasses when drilling holes in concrete.

4 

Insert the drop-in anchors or heavy duty anchors as specified by job 
requirements

5 

Follow the anchor manufacturer’s assembly and setting instructions

NOTE:

Refer to ED-5D511-31, “Hardware for Anchoring 5ESS Switch and 
5ESS Cabinet and Cable Rack Support Stanchions” for details

6 

Remove all debris from the mounting area

7 

Determine if floor mounting area is level and if shims may be needed.
