Repeater Installation
Description This configuration is available for use with all releases of WaveStar OLS 40G
software If a single OA configuration is to be installed, there should be no
associated repeaters in the transmission line.
This subsection contains information for installing the fibers and circuit packs for
the Repeaters. It has been broken into four procedures:

Intrashelf Fiber Jumper Installation

Outside Plant Fiber Jumper Installation to LGX
■
Customer Maintenance Signal Fiber Jumper Installation
■
Circuit Pack Installation

offices are shown in Figure 6-1.

Line Systems
NOTE:
A particular bay or cabinet may be equipped with two OLS shelves to be
configured as a Dual 2-Line system. Each of the two shelves can be
represented by Figure 6-7, and should be equipped and fibered individually.

Circuit Pack Installation: page 6-10 section before beginning this
procedure
2 Refer to Figure 6-7 for circuit pack locations.
3 Install, but do not seat, the following controller circuit packs in the lower
shelf:
