Fiber Jumper
Installation
There are several different fiber jumper kits available for the rack and stack
systems, some of which include blue fiber jumpers. These blue jumpers are
standard single mode jumpers whose outer protective cover has been colored
blue to indicate to all personnel that the fiber is carrying high-speed traffic, up to
16 channels of 2.5 Gigabits (40Gbits) of data/voice.
The fiber labels that are to be used are the following:
The three sets of labels are all included in each of the fiber jumper kits. The kits,
their comcodes, and contents are listed below. See drawing NT00405-30 for
further details.
Two-Bay Rack and Stack Fiber Kits
For a two-bay Rack and Stack configuration, the following fiber kits (Kits 1, 2, and
5) will be needed for Line 1:
