Testing Setup 
Procedure

Perform the following to connect the CMC computer to the WaveStar OLS 40G.

Log back into the Network Element in EXPERT mode as described in the previous 
chapter if not currently logged in.

NOTE:

The detailed CMC connection and login procedure is given in “Login 
Procedure Overview” in Appendix F.

For OT ONLY: If testing an OT only, proceed to OT Miscellaneous Discrete Tests: 
page 9-29. It is assumed that the OT is to be connected to a WaveStar OLS 40G 
system. If this is not the case, contact your next level of support for the proper 
procedure.
