LBO Selection
Procedures Use the table below to correctly select the LBO to be installed:
Step Action Reference
1 Log into the Network Element.
2 Click on the Smart Manual Manager to open.
3 Click on the Software Release number.
4 Click on Installation.
5 Click on Tasks.
6 Click on Optical Amplifier Input Line BuildOut Selection.
7 Enter the OA type i.e. LEA7,LEA7B, LEA104 and click
Continue.
8 Enter the System Type i.e. A, B, C and click Continue.
9 Enter the Channel Loading Factor obtained at the
previous office and click Continue.
10 The target power will be displayed. Measure the power
from the incoming fiber and enter in the box. The
appropriate LBO value will be calculated and displayed
on the screen.
NOTE:
If the power measurement is not within range,
clean the fiber and remeasure. If it is still out of
range, contact your next level of support.
