Power Cable Installation
Multiple OT Shelf Configurations
Introduction This section describes the power cable selection and installation for systems with
multiple OT shelves in the same cabinet or equipment bay frame.
For power cable installation information of OLS shelves, OLS shelf with OT
shelves in the same bay, or single OLS shelves, refer to the appropriate section of
this chapter.

Step Action
1 Turn the power breakers off, or do not install fuses, at the BDFB.
2 Verify the circuit packs are not installed in the shelves.
Leave the BDFB fuses out or breakers off until performing the steps in
Chapter 8, “Powering” of this manual.
3 If power is being fed by an overhead cable rack, route power cable out
through the top of the bay/cabinet as shown in Figure 4-3 on page 4-10. If
power is being fed from a raised floor storage tray, route power cables as
shown in Figure 4-4 on page 4-11.
