9 Set the X.25 redirect: In the “PVC2_Redirect” drop down
menu, select yes or no, depending on whether the NE
will utilize the X.25 redirect option or not. Hit the tab key
or move the mouse pointer to the next appropriate box.
10 Wavelength Pass-Through: Select yes from the drop
down menu if the NE will have through wavelengths,
without OTUs. Select no if the NE will not utilize the
pass-through feature. Hit the tab key or move the mouse
pointer to the next appropriate box.
11 ASPD: Click on the desired selection enabled or
disabled. The default is ENABLED. Do not disable APSD
at this time. See Danger
earlier in this
section.
12 Set the DIRN: Click on the appropriate selection, 1A-TX,
1A-TX-THRU, 1A-RCV, 1A-RCV-THRU, or Dual. Hit the
tab key or move the mouse pointer to the next
appropriate box. (Leave this value blank if the NE is a
repeater; the direction will be provisioned automatically.)
13 SIDE1_SYS: Select the appropriate power configuration.
Find the appropriate setting, A, B, C, or 1_OA, from the
referenced table and select it from the SIDE1_SYS pull-
down box. Hit the tab key or move the mouse pointer to
the next appropriate box. Table 8-3
14 SIDE2_SYS: If the DIRN selection is Dual, select the
appropriate power setting for side 2 from the table and
select it from the SIDE2_SYS pull-down box. Table 8-3
