EM Card IP Address
Specify the IP address of EM itself.
EM Card Netmask
Specify the subnet mask of EM itself.
The two EM cards installed in Blade Enclosure uses four IP addresses in total. These
addresses are classified into two types; "Static IP" which is determined by the slot to
install the EM card, and "Floating IP" which is used by the active/standby EM card
regardless of the installation slot.
The last bit of "Static IP" corresponds to the installation slot.
The last bit of "Floating IP" is defined as "0" for active EM card and "1" for standby EM
card.
IMPORTANT:
Even if only one EM card has been installed, four IP
addresses are reserved for EM card. Make sure that these IP addresses
do not overlap with the IP addresses of other devices.
NOTES:
The IP address of EM card itself classifies the four IP addresses by
last two bits as shown below.
00b: "Floating IP" that an active EM uses.
01b: "Floating IP" that a standby EM uses.
10b: "Static IP" of EM card installed in slot EM1.
11b: "Static IP" of EM card installed in slot EM2.
Default settings are as shown below:
"Floating IP" of active EM: 192.168.1.8/24
"Floating IP" of standby EM: 192.168.1.9/24
"Static IP" of EM card in slot EM1: 192.168.1.10/24
"Static IP" of EM card in slot EM2: 192.168.1.11/24
SNMP Agent and linkage with NEC Dianascope and NEC
ESMPRO Manager Ver.5 or later features use "Static IP" address.
Did you specify a multiple of 4 for the last digit of <IP Address of
EM card>? Specify the floating IP address that an active EM card
uses in "IP address of EM card". Setting the value other than a
multiple of 4 is not accepted.
EM Card Gateway IP Address
Specify the default gateway.
Specify "0.0.0.0" when not using gateway.
