Assigning the IP Address for Remote Control
To access the EM card from the remote console working on the Telnet, you must specify an IP
address. The shipping default of the IP address is 192.168.1.8/24.
NOTE:
This setting is reflected to the EM1/EM2 port at the rear of the
Blade Enclosure.
To change the default IP address to another one, access the EM card from the remote console by
using the default IP address, or from the local console connected to the serial port.
Specify an IP address in configuration file.
NOTE:
You can also use [SIGMABLADE Monitor] menu described
in Chapter 5 to specify an IP address. In addition, you can use the Web
console described in Chapter 4 to change an IP address. In either case,
the new data is saved in the setting file.
Use the "showemip" command to confirm the setting.

NOTE:
When you have specified IP addresses for EM card and are
ready to connect with network, you can provide other settings through
the Web browser. See Chapter 4 "Configuration" for how to configure
the EM card through Web browser.
