Operation in OSD Simple Mode
In OSD simple mode, you can switchover the KVM and set the Server Name Resident mode.
When OSD simple mode is activated, the name of the CPU blade connecting to the KVM is
displayed on the upper left of the screen.
Background color: Magenta
Character color: White
Press the <Esc> key to exit from the simple mode without changing KVM.
KVM Switchover
Press one of the numeric key <1> to <8> to specify the slot number to connect the KVM. When
switchover is completed, the background color is changed to blue. Then, OSD simple mode is
canceled after about three seconds.
When the Server Name Resident mode is enabled, OSD display is subject to Server Name Resident
mode. If you select the CPU blade slot number currently being selected, it is ignored. Pressing the
<Esc> key cancels the OSD simple mode without changing KVM connection.
Changing Server Name Resident Mode
Pressing the <A> or <D> key toggles on/off (enable/disable) the Server Name Resident mode.
When the mode is changed, the OSD simple mode is canceled. If the Server Name Resident mode is
set to on, the mode is changed to the Server Name Resident mode after the OSD simple mode is
canceled. If the Server Name Resident mode is set to off, the OSD display is terminated after the
OSD simple mode is canceled. Pressing the <Esc> key cancels the OSD simple mode without
changing mode.
