Updating Firmware

This section describes the firmware update.

Updating EM Firmware

Procedure

Take following steps to update the firmware.

1.

Send the update file to the EM card using ftp.

2.

Login to the EM card with "admin", and run the "updatefw" command.

3.

Login to the EM card with "admin", and check the result of update.

IMPORTANT:



It is recommended to update the firmware in standby EM card first,
if the redundant EM card configuration is used. Upon completion of
update, make the card to standby card using the "switchover"
command. Then, update the firmware of another card in the similar
way.



It may take several minutes to complete updating. Wait until the
process is completed.
