SNMP Agent
SNMP is a protocol used to communicate the management data among network devices.
The administrator of the EM card can use SNMP to monitor the operating status of the EM card and
the blade system (Blade Enclosure, fan units, or power supply units) which the EM card manages.
Registering community name and SNMP trap message destination are to be specified in
configuration file.
NOTES:
SNMP Agent uses "Static IP". For details of Static IP, see "Initial
Setup"
"Basic Setup in Configuration File"
"IP Address of EM
Card".
To monitor the iStorage through EM card, the following registries
must exist in the system in which the NEC ESMPRO Manager is
installed. If not, create them.
----------------------------------------------------------------
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NEC\NVBASE\AlertView
er\AlertType\iStorage]
"WavDefault"="Server.wav"
"AniDefault"="Default.bmp"
"Image"="Default.bmp"
"SmallImage"="Default.bmp"
----------------------------------------------------------------
The name is placed before "=", and the data is placed after "=".
Data is character-string type.
If your OS is Windows XP (excluding Home Edition), 2000/2003, or
Vista, set the access authority to the alert type key
((~\AlertType\iStorage) as shown below.
