DVD/USB Switching
On the [Blade Selection Menu], you can switch connection of both the DVD and the front USB
port.
Select a CPU blade slot number among [Slot1] to [Slot8] and [EM] in DVD/USB field and press the
<Enter> key. The DVD and the front USB port is connected to the selected CPU blade or the EM
card.
When the <Enter> key is pressed, the DVD/USB is disconnected once, and about three seconds later,
the DVD/USB is connected to the selected CPU blade or the EM card. Then, the DVD/USB field
displays the newly connected CPU blade or the EM card.
Alternately, you can use one of the keys <1> to <8> while the cursor is placed on any of [Slot1] to
[Slot8] or [EM] in the DVD/USB field to select a CPU blade to connect the DVD/USB.
IMPORTANT:
If the EM card is not connected correctly or does not operate
normally, the protection feature may work to disable connection of
DVD/USB. When DVD/USB is not available though the correct
CPU blade has been selected, check if the EM card operates
normally.
If you select DVD/USB while the CPU blade is working with
DVD/USB devices, a malfunction may occur. Select DVD/USB
after the CPU blade finishes its operation (by performing Safely
Remove DVD/USB Device).
Do not connect or disconnect the DVD/USB while the CPU blade is
being activated. Otherwise, the CPU blade may fail to start.
