Operation in Blade Selection Menu

Description
KVM switching
Select one of the slot numbers among [Slot1] to [Slot8] using cursor and
press the <Enter> key. The KVM is connected to the CPU blade in the
selected slot.
Or, press one of the key <1> to <8> while the cursor is placed in KVM
selection field. The KVM is connected to the CPU blade in the selected

DVD/USB switching
Select one of the slot numbers among [Slot1] to [Slot8] using cursor and
press the <Enter> key. The DVD/USB is connected to the CPU blade or
the EM card in the selected slot.
Or, press one of the key <1> to <8> while the cursor is placed in
DVD/USB selection field. The DVD/USB is connected to the CPU blade in
the selected slot. (*1) (*3)
Activating [Blade
Control Menu]
Select a Blade Name using cursor and press the <Enter> key to display
the [Blade Control Menu].
Or, press one of the key <1> to <8> while the cursor is placed in Blade
Name field. The [Blade Control Menu] for the CPU blade in the selected
slot is displayed. (*2) (*4)
Activating [Rack
Control Menu]
Select a Rack Name using cursor and press the <Enter> key or <R> key
to display the [Rack Control Menu]. (*2)
Activating [Enclosure
Control Menu]
Select an Enclosure Name using cursor and press the <Enter> key or
<R> key to display the [Enclosure Control Menu]. (*2)
Activating [OSD
Setup Menu]
Press the <F1> key to display the [OSD Setup Menu].
Exit from OSD menu
Press the <Esc> key to exit from the OSD menu mode.
*1: When a blade is selected on KVM or DVD/USB switching menu, switching is performed
regardless of the status of the selected CPU blade. However, if you select the CPU blade slot
number currently being selected or EM card, it is ignored, connection is not switched.
If a CPU blade selected for KVM destination is off-powered, the OSD menu will be displayed by
the video generator built-in the Blade Enclosure. The resolution is fixed to 640x480.
*2: You will be prompted to enter the security password before displaying the menu.
*3: When the installed CPU blade occupies two slots (e.g., NEC Express5800/120Bb-m6 and NEC
Express5800/B140a-T), the slot selection changes to the slot with smaller numbers even when
you choose a bigger number. If you already selected the CPU blade, this switching is effective
when you specify a CPU blade number of a bigger slot and pressed
Enter
.
*4: When the installed CPU blade occupies two slots (e.g., NEC Express5800/120Bb-m6 and NEC
Express5800/B140a-T), specify a slot with a smaller number, as the slots with bigger numbers
are deemed as unmounted.
