Run
Select the file and click the [Run] button to transfer the update data file to the EM card. The selected
file is updated.
IMPORTANT:
Updating by this feature is performed to EM card
being connected. If the updating is executed from the Web console of
the active EM, the firmware of active EM is updated. If EM cards are in
redundant state, it is recommended that standby EM be updated first.
After updating, the EM card is rebooted automatically.
In redundant EM card configuration, the active EM is switched to
another EM card by switchover feature if the updating is executed on
the active EM.
If only one EM card is installed, a bridge feature and SNMP feature are
stopped while rebooting. Accordingly, the connection via management
LAN of CPU blades and switch module is temporarily disconnected.
In addition, system monitoring by NEC ESMPRO Manager is
temporarily disabled. If a timeout error occurs, connect them again after
the EM has rebooted.
The screen as shown below is displayed while update process is in progress.
NOTE:
The on-screen information is not updated automatically. To
view the latest information, click the [Reload] button.
When update process is completed and the EM card is rebooted, this screen is no further displayed
even though the [Reload] button is clicked.
