Upon completion of setting, click the [Apply] button.
NOTES:
The Configuration pane can be closed or opened by clicking the "–"
or "+" button on upper left of the pane.
When "Power off NAS blade after CPU blade is powered off" is set
(checked) and several CPU blades are selected in CPU Blade Select
pane, NAS blade is powered off after all the CPU blades are
powered off.
Make sure the Blade Enclosure installed in the bottom slot is
powered on.
Power linkage between Blade Enclosures are used, the Blade
Enclosure in the bottom slot must be able to communicate with the
NAS blade when configuration is applied.
Make sure that all the Blade Enclosures required for power linkage
are installed in the Blade Enclosure.
If any of the CPU blade specified in the Power Linkage Group is not
installed in the Blade Enclosure, applying configuration will fail.
The missing CPU blade is indicated in red.
In this case, install the relevant CPU blade, or remove it from the
Power Linkage Group.
IMPORTANT
:
The blade specified in Power Linkage Group must be able to
shutdown with the Power button. If the CPU blade is unable to
shutdown with the Power button, this feature will not power off the
blade. See the topic "Unable to shutdown the OS by UPS
Management feature or Power Linkage with NAS Blade feature" in
the troubleshooting chapter.
This feature identifies the target blade with the Blade Name.
Accordingly, if the blade name is changed, the power linkage setting
must also be changed.
The power linkage feature will not work in the following cases.
(The power sequence is equivalent to that no linkage is configured.)
– The blade specified in the Power Linkage Group is not installed.
– The blade names are duplicated.
– The target blade type is not appropriate to Power Linkage
Group.
– Power on/off process failed due to power shortage.
When "Power on NAS blade before CPU blade is powered on" is
selected and the UPS Manager is used, the value for [Blade Boot
Timeout] in UPS Manager must be longer than the value specified
for [Power on/off wait (sec)] in Power Linkage Group.
