Forgot password to login to the EM card:
You can change the "admin" password back to the initial one via a serial port connection with the
following steps. (Use this feature only if you forget the admin password).
1.
Confirm that EM card is powered on.
IMPORTANT:
Remove the stand-by EM when your configuration
has EM redundancy.
2.
Connect a serial cable to the front of the active EM card.
3.
Reset (or reboot) the EM card. Press the RESET switch down or execute "RESTART
EM" command.
4.
If the following message appears, press the <Return> key to stop.
Hit any key to stop autoboot: 3
5.
Enter as follows at u-boot prompt:
em> setenv password_reset
em> setenv password_reset y
em> saveenv
Saving Environment to EEPROM...
em> boot
## Booting image at bfa00000...
(Omitted)
NOTE:
The first "setenv password_reset" clears the "password_reset".
When next "setenv password_reset y" is executed properly, no error
message is displayed. And prompt "em>" of u-boot will be displayed.
6.
After EM firmware starts, password of admin will be changed to factory settings.
NOTE:
Install the standby EM card you have removed in earlier step
to the original location, if necessary.
The configuration made in Step 5 will be automatically deleted.
This completes operation.
