A message "Configuration Data Read Error" appears at the end of POST:
When this error message appears, updating boot parameters and/or vIO
information by BIOS may have failed, even if the result status on [Select Boot
Configuration] page is [Success].
Power off the blade server, then perform the following steps.
1. Apply [default] of boot config.
2. Power on the blade server, then restart it after the OS has started (or upon
completion of POST if the server has no OS installed).
3. Run BIOS SETUP, select [Load Setup Default], and select [Advanced] - [Reset
Configuration Data]- [Yes]. Then, select [Save and Exit].
4. Shutdown the blade server after the OS has started (or upon completion of
POST if the server has no OS installed).
5. Setup the boot config file again.
If the same error persists, the blade server or option card may be faulty.
A POST error message "B000 Expansion ROM not initialized" appears when vIO is
configured:
This error may occur when vIO is configured on the following server models.
– Express5800/B110d
– Express5800/B120d
– Express5800/B120d-h
– Express5800/B120e
– Express5800/B120e-h
– Express5800/B120f
– Express5800/B120f-h
– Express5800/B120g-h
Change setting of [Boot Protocol] to "none" for the port that is not used for PXE
boot. Refer to the "Setting Procedure for Boot Protocol" document attached to the
blade.
