If you have changed settings related to vIO Control feature for the blade server that is
managed by NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.5 or later, you must cancel registration of the
blade server and EM card and register them again from the console of NEC ESMPRO
Manager Ver.5 or later.
* If "NEC SigmaSystemCenter support" is enabled on Configuration page, and the
settings for the vIO Control feature have been changed by NEC SigmaSystemCenter, it
is not necessary to be aware of this matter.
Otherwise, the following troubles may occur.
–
The server status is not displayed with error messages displayed.
–
The blade map is not displayed.
–
The blade map does not show the registration information of the blade server correctly.
* The blade map shows the structure of Blade Enclosures as shown below.
* Refer to Online Help of NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.5 or later for cancelling
registration or re-registration.
If you have changed settings related to vIO Control feature for the blade server that is
managed by NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.4, you must remove the relevant blade server
icon and register it again by using auto-detect feature from the console of NEC ESMPRO
Manager Ver.4. If removal and re-registration are not performed, the following problems
may occur:

The information of blade server is not displayed correctly.
–
The position of blade server is not displayed correctly on the map.
Note: Refer to Online Help of NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.4. for removal of server icon
and re-registration.
If the Web component data viewer of NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.4 is used, either the
serial number or the virtual serial number may appear depending on the tab.
–
On the [Device Information] tab of monitoring item, the Product Serial Number is
displayed.
–
On the [General] tab of monitoring item, the Virtual Product Serial Number is
displayed.
If the power is controlled by NEC ESMPRO/AutomaticRunningController and NEC
SigmaSystemCenter/Power Management Basic Pack, the automatic running feature
cannot be scheduled when the vIO feature is used.
In addition, if the power failure occurs, power can be turned off by shutdown process, but
it cannot be turned on automatically at the recovery of the power. You need to boot the
server in manual mode.
