Updates the EM firmware. 

Syntax 

updatefw <options> 

Parameter 

<options> 

-update 

Explanation: Executes updating of EM firmware. 

-result 

Explanation: Displays the execution result of updating EM firmware. 

Details 

Send the update file via ftp prior to execution of the command. (The user name for ftp is 
"nec_update", and the password is "nec_update".) 

There are following three kinds of update files. 

–

 

u-boot.bin 

–

 

em.kernel 

–

 

em.rfs 

Specify "update" option to update the EM firmware. 

Specify "result" option to display the latest execution result of updating EM firmware. 

This command can be executed in either of active or standby EM card, however, it is 
recommended to execute in the standby EM side. 

Notes 

The EM firmware is rebooted at the end of update process. If the update is executed from 
the active EM in redundant configuration, the active or the standby state is switched over.
