initemconfig
Outline
Use this command to initialize the EM card (restore the factory-set values).
Syntax
initemconfig <options>
Parameter
<options>
-y
Explanation:
Initializes the EM card without issuing a message for confirmation.
Details
Use this command to initialize the EM card. Without option switch specified, you are
prompted to select whether to execute or not. Enter "y" to execute initialization.
This command can be executed in the active EM card only.
If two EM cards are installed, the standby EM card is also initialized.
Notes
When applied, the EM firmware is rebooted. If two EM cards are installed, both cards are
rebooted simultaneously.
The bridge and SNMP functions are stopped during rebooting. Accordingly, the CPU
blade and switch module are temporarily disconnected from LAN. In addition, monitoring
the system by NEC ESMPRO or others is temporarily disabled. If a timeout error occurs,
provide these connections again after the active EM has rebooted.
When two EM cards are installed, the standby EM must also be operating normally. If the
standby EM is being activated or failed, the command cannot be executed.
Wait until the standby EM becomes ready, then execute this command.
If the standby EM is failed, remove it. Then, execute this command.
