Description

The value of hello timer is 1s (60 ticks) 

The value of receive timer is 3s (180 ticks) 

 
Note 

•

 

The transmitting mode does not need to configure value of timer; 
the  transmitting  node  learns  value  of  time  according  to  the  sent 
message of transmitting node from master node. 

•

 

The  value  of  receive  timer  must  be  larger  than  that  of  receive 
timer. We suggest to configure the value of receive timer 3 times 
the  value  of  hello  timer.  In  this  way  to  avoid  the  shaking  of 
protocol status. 

 

•

 

If the transmission node is associated with the edge node, use the 
hello timer of the transmission to send edge-hello packets and do 
not create edge-hello timer for the edge node. 

 

•

 

If  the  transmission  node  is  associated  with  the  assistant  edge 
node,  use  the  receive  timer  of  the  transmission  node  to  receive 
the edge-hello packets and do not create the receive timer for the 
assistant edge node.
