Configure CFM network topology
The three switches forms a two-layer maintenance domain. Switch-A
uses port 0/1 to be connected with port 0/1 of Switch-C; Switch-C uses
port 0/0 to be connected with port 0/1 of Switch-B.
Switch-A configuration:
Command Description
Switch-A(config)# vlan 100
To configure VLAN100 and enter
VLAN mode
Switch-A(config)#exit To exit VLAN mode
Switch-A(config)# ethernet cfm domain
dom_l4_vlan100 level 4 outward
To create the maintenance domain
dom_l4_vlan100,
specify the
domain level as 4, specify the
domain direction as outward and
enter the ether-cfm mode
Switch-A(config-ethernet-cfm)# service-instance
ser_vlan100 vlan 100
To create the service instance, bind
it with VLAN 100 and enter
ethernet-si mode
Switch-A(config-ethernet-si)#exit To exit ethernet-si mode
Switch-A(config-ethernet-cfm)#exit To exit ethernet-cfm mode
Switch-A(config)# ethernet cfm domain
dom_l7_vlan100 level 7
To create the maintenance domain
dom_l7_vlan100,
specify the
domain level as 7 and enter the
ether-cfm mode
Switch-A(config-ethernet-cfm)# service-instance
ser_vlan100 vlan 100
To create service instance, bind it
with VLAN 100 and enter the
ethernet-si mode

Switch-A(config-ethernet-cfm)#exit To exit ethernet-cfm mode
Switch-A(config)# port 0/0 To specify port 0/0 and enter the
port mode
Switch-A(config-port-0/0)#port access vlan 100 VLAN 100 of the specified port
