The  above  commands  have  no  format.  You  can  use  the  no  format  of 
the command to cancel the corresponding configuration and cancel the 
corresponding function. 

 

Commands for Configuring OSPF 

OSPF requires that the configurations of the devices, edge routers and 
AS  edge  routers  based  on  the  OSPF  protocol  must  be  corresponding 
with  each  other.  Basically,  the  configurations  are  divided  to  the 
following  parts.  Here,  enabling  OSPF  process  is  mandatory,  while  the 
other configurations are optional. 

 

E n a b l e   O S P F  P r o c e s s  

Similar to other routing protocols, enabling the OSPF function needs to 
create  an  OSPF  routing  process,  specify  the  address  range  associated 
with  the  process,  and  specify  the  area  to  which  the  address  range 
belongs. To finish these operations, use the following commands. 

 

router ospf 

This command is used to enable the OSPF protocol and create an OSPF 
routing  process.  After  configuring  the  command,  switch  to  the  OSPF 
routing configuration mode. The no format of the command is used to 
delete the OSPF routing process.

Syntax 

Description 

process-id  

The  OSPF  process  number;  multiple  OSPF  processes  can  be 
enabled  at  the  same  time.  Each  process  manages  different 
interfaces. 

vrf-name

 

Specify the VRF name. Enable the OSPF process from VRF. It 
is  recommended  that  one  VRF  is  configured  with  only  one 
OSPF  process.  The  OSPF  process  belonging  to  one  VRF  can 
manage only the interfaces that belong to the VRF.
