C o n f i g u r e   O S P F   Ro u t e   Re - d i s t r i b u t i o n  

OSPF can re-distribute the routes learned from other routing protocols to 
the  OSPF  route  area.  Use  the  route-map  function  and  you  can  apply 
specified policy to control the route re-distribution. 

 

redistribute 

This  command  is  used  to  re-distribute  the  routes  generated  by  the 
specified routing protocols to the OSPF route area. You can specify cost, 
cost  type,  route  tag  and  route  map  for  the  route.  When  re-distributing 
outer  routes, by default, the cost is 20;  cost type is 2; do not set route 
tag;  do  not  use  route  map.  The  no  format  of  the  command  is  used  to 
delete  the  corresponding  sub  command,  or  cancel  the  re-distribution 
function.

Syntax 

Description 

protocol

 

Re-distributed routing protocols, including RIP, OSPF, 
ISIS, IRMP, BGP, static (static route) and connected 
(direct-connected route). 

protocol-id 

The protocol  process number; some  protocols have 
protocol  process  number,  such  as  IRMP.  The  value 
range is 1-65535. 

metric-value 

Specify the metric value of re-distributed routes; the 
value range is 0-16777214. 

metric-type

 

 

Specify the metric-type of re-distributed route (type 
1 or type 2). 

tag-value 

The  tag  carried  by  the  re-distributed  route;  the 
value range is 0-4294967295. 

route-map-name

 

Specify  to  perform  route-map  mapping  and  route 
policy control when re-distributing routes 

route-type

 

Specify  the  route  type  to  be  matched  when  re-
distributing routes.
