Connect the PC with the remote switch that needs to be configured via a local switch;
Run the Telnet client application program on the local PC;
Other steps are the same as that of configuring via LAN.
3. Configure a remote switch via a local switch
Run the Telnet client program of a local switch and process configuration through logging into
the remote switch that needs to be configured by network. The method is the same as that of
configuring a switch via telnet on network. Following is the connection figure:

When configuring a switch via telnet, do not alter the IP address of WAN interface easily.
Change the IP address if necessary only after ensuring that other parameters are configured
correctly. After the address is changed, Telnet may disconnect, the new IP address of the host
needs to be input to re-establish the connection.
If users log in a Signamax switch from a PC (take WIN2000 as the example), the steps for
configuration are as follows:
At first, input the user name and password and enter the WIN2000 system;
Run the telnet client program under the command prompt of the WIN2000 system to log in
the switch, the command is as follows:
telnet 128.255.255.1
