As shown in the above network environment, Switch A and Switch B are the devices at the
convergence layer; Switch C and Switch D are the devices at the access layer. To balance the
flow on the links and realize the load balancing and redundancy backup of different VLAN data,
perform the configurations on the devices as follows:
All devices belong to one MST domain:
The packets of VLAN 10 are forwarded along example 1; the root bridge of example 1 is
Switch A;
The packets of VLAN 20 are forwarded along example 2; the root bridge of example 2 is
Switch B;
The packets of VLAN 30 are forwarded along example 3; the root bridge of example 3 is
Switch A;
The packets of VLAN 40 are forwarded along example 4; the root bridge of example 4 is
Switch B;
The configuration of Switch A:

SwitchA(config-mst-region)#region-name test To configure MST domain name as test
